Autumn Shows

Seems I have neglected the blog - I blame Facebook - news tends to go on there real time and then its easy to forget updating the blog!  So a quick resume of the shows is necessary I think.

First there was the mad trip to Luxembourg, that Chris Murray & I had to miss due to different injuries!  Thanks to Louise, the show did go on, and she kindly joined Sue, Kia and Mikko on another successful trip to Luxembourg, with both Elbereth Mikko ShCM and Elbereth Kia Joins Bridus winning CACL, giving Kia her Lux title!

Mikko was also successful at Richmond Championship show taking Best Dog and the res CC.

In October - Sue and I headed to Dortmund in Germany with Kia and Matkamies, for two shows: On the Saturday it was the Bundlessieger ausstellung 2012 where the judge was Kimberley Meredith Cavanna from USA (I understand she judged the Finnish Lapphunds at Westminster 2012)

In addition to the Bundessieger 2012 title this win gave Kia her International title.

On the Sunday it was the German National Show: Juha Putkonen from Finland was the judge for Finnish Lapphunds and he measured ALL dogs and confirmed my measurement of Matka at 49cm. It was the Nationale ausstellung and BOB was Ch/Lux Ch Elbereth Matkamies ShCM, CAC Sieger 2012 and BB Ch/Lux Ch Elbereth Kia Joins Bridus CAC Sieger 2012.

At Midland Counties, E Matkamies won BOB under Mrs Sam Moore, Kia was third in a large KC Good Citizen Stakes, she was not shown in breed.

November saw me heading to Kortrijk in Belgium to one of my favourite overseas shows, partly because its so well run, so easy to get to and I guess because I seem to have had a lot of success there!  This trip was no different with Matka & Kia taking the CAC/CACIB awards and Kia pipping her brother (again) for BOB, these overseas judges like her cheekiness!  This win giving Matkamies his International title!

At the end of November the SFLS held its second show, and Mrs Niki Allison awarded BIS to Ch/Int/Lux Ch Elbereth Matkamies.  Elbereth Tiia was res Best Bitch, and Int Ch Elbereth Toive won the progeny class.
