The Treble Two Weekends Running

First Sue & I took a trip to Wales, lovely to meet up with family and enjoy lovely food and a glass of wine!  Then off to Builth, which is one of my favourite venues for the Working & Pastoral Breeds of Wales Championship show.  Our judge was Mrs S Holmes and she awarded BOB to Matkamies and BOS to Sue & Emma's Kia, with Angela & Barry Thomas' E Suvituuli taking BP and res BB.  The three of them went onto win the breeder group under Mr D Smith.

Then a week later it was another super show with the three repeating their breed wins under Mrs J Lanning, and Kia also won a 3rd in the Good Citizen Stakes class.  The breeder team was G2 under Mr Albert Wight and then Matkamies then went onto be shortlisted in the Pastoral Group under  Mr Wight - and his critique was "The Finnish Lapphund,Ch/Int/Lux Ch Elbereth Matkamies, oozes Lapphund charm,great headed chap, lovely eyes, ears & expression, correct wither height,really well bodied, lovely tailset & so well off for substance. Bit of a handful on the move, but his sheertype attracted me." as Matka is often lazy in big ring I was delighted he was enjoying himself so really don't mind that bit.
