its not an easy trip to Edinburgh from Surrey - actually its quicker and easier to drive to France and Belgium! Still Penikka, Matka and I headed north on Friday and stopped over about 1 hour from Edinburgh. On way up I stopped at the Tebay services at Westmoreland, and the scenery there was breathtaking, its over 25 years since I stayed at the lakes and the short stop at the services reminded me that I must visit them again such breathtaking peaceful landscapes.
Onto the show, where we were judged by Mr T Jones, he awarded Best Puppy to Matkamies, who was also reserve Best Dog, his second such award and only 8 months of age! Penikka was reserve Best bitch, two dogs, two wins, and two reserve best of sex awards. On way home we were delighted to hear that E Ainokainen, was 5th in a good sized puppy stakes class. Matka has a definite soft spot for his honorary sister - but maybe his views on her are no longer brotherly!
